People of Rochester and COVID-19
When I'm not shooting photos of customers, I enjoy walking around the city, meeting random people, and shooting street portraits. It's still possible to do this, but we have to be careful to maintain a safe distance from each other; I can't stand close to someone to interview them. With the coronavirus pandemic, the guidelines for face-to-face communication have changed.
During a recent walk in downtown Rochester, I saw only a handful people on the streets. Most of them were walking, but this man was bouncing a tennis ball off the building in front of him (in the photo, the ball is just below the third and fourth windows from the right, on the building the man is facing). I like seeing people finding creative ways to be outside and mitigate the effects of cabin fever.
